Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Underground Index wants this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level as an ongoing target, not a one-time checkbox.
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy on every page
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users
- Visible keyboard focus states on every interactive element
- Interactive elements (like the flip cards on our Services page) are fully operable by keyboard, not just mouse or touch
- Motion and animation respect your device's reduced-motion setting
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Color combinations chosen for readable contrast against our dark background
Known limitations
Our application form is hosted by a third-party provider (Tally), so its accessibility depends in part on their platform rather than our own code. If you run into a barrier using that form, contact us directly and we'll help you get the same information another way.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, we want to know. Email salvatorerizzo@undergroundindex.com with what you ran into and we'll work to fix it.
